DEMETRIUS-MCCRAY-JAGUARS

Demetrius was heavily recruited as a quarterback and ultimately decided to attend Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. He was a starter as a true freshman and made the transition from quarterback to cornerback. He finished his college career with many awards, including Second-Team All American (AP), FCS Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team all-Southern Conference. Demetrius was the first cornerback in Appalachian State history to lead the Southern Conferences in interceptions twice. He was invited to the Collegiate Bowl and the NFL Combine in 2013.

Following an intensive training schedule, Demetrius was drafted in the 7th round of the NFL Draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013. He played in 46 games with 16 starts recording 86 tackles and six passes defensed. Demetrius also played with the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders and after an injury, decided to hang up his cleats for good.

Demetrius is married has 4 children: Cambria, Kobe and twins, Caden & Carter. Demetrius currently lives and works in the city that made his dreams come true- Jacksonville, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, working out, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
